The Next Step

There are times when the way ahead is perfectly clear, and others when the world refuses to show us what comes next. The Next Step belongs to those quieter moments when certainty disappears, but the path does not.

Photographed at Blackheath in the Blue Mountains, mist had swallowed the forest until trees became shadows and distance simply disappeared. Yet among all that uncertainty, colour remained close at hand, a small reminder that not everything meaningful waits at the end of the path.
